Here are the posts originally made when this page first went up on the site on 26 July 2007. It includes all the chat about who was who in the photograph. The comments posted about a possible reunion in 2009 have been moved to a separate thread. |

Please spread the word about this page to anyone else you know "who was there" or knows someone who might have been. Although many years have passed, these were happy times. Or perhaps I'm just getting older ;-) I have a vague recollection of this picture being taken, only because I remember the shutter going off and thinking that I wasn't looking at the camera (something I now find out is entirely accurate). I hope to find everyone in the picture so we can catch up with the last... erm... 26 years!!!! (Yes, you did read that correctly). |

I've had this picture for years. My Mum took it. Number four is Alex but can't remember her surname. Anyone know who number 15 is? |

I thought number 15 was one of the Liddiard sisters (not sure if I've spelt that correctly). Sonia perhaps? Would your sister be able to shed any light, Jo? |

I can probably name everyone in this picture but that might spoil the fun for everyone else!! Sonya and Emma Lidiard are not in this picture for some reason, they must not have been 'playing out' on that day!! |

Hi Kirstin. Great to hear from you after all these years. When did you move out of SPG? Couldn't have been that long after this picture was taken? I know it was before I left in 1984. Yes, number 12 is Chris. His brother Peter is number 19. I can't remember him not being allowed to come to the "Clayton Cinema" though. What was that all about? 40-40 in, in the dark! What a memory. Great fun. Glancing through the posts, I think we've got most people named in the picture now although not all of them have added a message. Having said that, I'm not 100% sure of number 17 - was it Richard something? And I have no idea who number 9 is. If anyone knows how to contact people who haven't seen this page then please pass on the details. It would also be great to hear from those who were around at the time but not in the pic. Simon Steele has already posted a reply, but what about Emma and Sonia, Gaynor and Tracey (OK they moved in after the pic was taken, but were still in the estate in the 80's)... |

Oh and by the way Andy, No 17 was Richard Pitman. His mum and dad still live in the same house on the estate. I think Tracy is still in contact with Emma and Sonia, I will ask and get her to pass the info. |

Hi Guys Its me - the one without a photo. Not to sure if I was around at the time this was taken?? We moved in to the "Gate" in 1977. I was shy to start with and have Paul to thank for getting me involved as I think we met at the Queens Silver Jubilee party. My mum and dad (Les and Ruth) still see Denise and Dennis on occasion. Mum and Dad still live in Brookside in Wokingham. Not me though I am in Sandhurst now. Its funny how the estate comes back to you every so often. I went to night school in the 1990's to do an electronics course and there was a chap there called Andy who I think lived at number 99. I was the big house on the left as you exited the estate. Any way enough of my rant. good to see you all on here!! PS: How about Simon Scott, never really one of the gang but he lived in the square I lived on (think he was number 9 or 10)and Karen Elvidge also lived on my square. Simon |

No.9 is Deborah Burgess. She lived at no.50 (next door to my nan & grandad) Her whole family moved from St Pauls Gate to Little Sandhurst then emigrated to Australia. Thats was years ago & not heard from them since. |

Hi, it's Sarah here (number 7). Thanks for Paul for reminding me to login to this site. It certainly is a blast from the past - playing 44 in brings back a lot of great memories; my favourite hiding place was down the garages opposite the 44 in tree!. I think that number 4 is Vicky Gadd (lived at 21). I still see Lisa and very occasionally Emma Lidiard (as was) |

Hi once again guy's n gal's. I see Rachel Taylor has now put a message up on Reunion page. There is now quite a collection of friends from the past now, like it! Rachel, I have no idea who no.4 is and neither has Tracy according to a previous post. Somebody said it was Vicky Gadd but not a clue who that was. It sort of rings slight bells but these bells are on another planet and I can't hear them that well!!! Anyone else have any ideas? I reckon our aim before the Reunion is to get everyone in the picture to put a message on here. If you still see some of these, let them know about the site. |

Andy, Here is another idea for the Claymaster. How do we all look now???? What about an option to upload a recent picture of ourselves. We can then have a chuckle or 6 and see how we have changed! |

Nice idea, Paul. I'll give that one some thought. I'm sure I can sort something out. When I come up with something I'll post a note to the Messageboard feedback section. While I'm at it, nice to welcome you to these pages, Rachel, another one to cross off the list! :-) |
